As the days get darker and we turn inward toward home, this time of year always reminds us why we do what we do: create spaces that feel warm, personal, and deeply lived-in. This season, we’re excited to share a few things happening at Perch, each rooted in community, craft, and generosity.
Win This Sofa + Support Survivors: Our Partnership With FinAbility
We’re honored to partner with FinAbility, a Portland-based, BIPOC-led nonprofit dedicated to financially empowering survivors of domestic abuse. Their work helps individuals rebuild their foundations—creating safer, more stable futures through financial tools, education, and coaching.
Through the 2025 Willamette Week Give!Guide, anyone who donates $200 or more to FinAbility will be entered to win a custom Charlie Sofa, handcrafted at our West Coast workshop and valued at over $3,000. Every $200 = one entry. Multiple entries are encouraged.
The raffle runs December 1–31, and we’ll announce the winner on January 10.
And because design is better when it’s personal: everyone who enters will receive a complimentary design consultation with our team at Perch—whether you’re dreaming up a new living room layout or need guidance on choosing the right fabric.
We’re proud to support FinAbility alongside fellow Portland organizations including Community Warehouse, Westside Queer Resource Center, and Xcelerate Women.

VESSEL Pop-Up at Perch: Friday, December 5
We love spotlighting Portland makers whose work reflects timeless craft and quiet beauty—and ceramic artist Kelsey Koens (@studio_vessel) is one of our favorites.
Her Pillar Lamps are hand-thrown from clay, fitted with heirloom-quality dimmable components, and designed to cast the soft kind of light that makes evenings at home feel calmer and slower.
Kelsey will be joining us in the shop for a VESSEL pop-up during the Fremont Holiday Fest (@bbapdx): Friday, December 5 • 4–7pm
You’re invited to stop by, sip something warm, and explore her lighting collection in person. These lamps make incredibly thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts—pieces that become part of a home’s story.
